Publication Ethics

All ethical standards described herein follow internationally recognized guidelines, including:

Multidisciplinary Reviews’ editors apply rigorous double-blind peer review and uphold strict ethical and professional standards to ensure that all published content meets the highest quality and integrity expected in international scientific communication.

2. Publication Ethics

2.1 General Principles

All manuscripts submitted to Multidisciplinary Reviews must represent original work that has not been previously published or simultaneously submitted elsewhere. Authors must ensure accuracy, transparency, and reproducibility of data and methods.

Multidisciplinary Reviews maintains a zero-tolerance policy for:

  • Plagiarism and self-plagiarism

  • Data fabrication or falsification

  • Image manipulation or selective presentation

  • Improper attribution or copyright violation

Detected ethical breaches may lead to manuscript rejection or, if post-publication, retraction or correction in accordance with COPE procedures.

2.2 Conflicts of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could inappropriately influence their research.
Examples include:

  • Employment, consultancy, or paid expert testimony

  • Stock ownership, patents, or honoraria

  • Grants or funding from organizations that may benefit from the results

A conflict-of-interest statement must appear immediately before the References section:

The authors declare no conflicts of interest.

Editors and reviewers must also declare any conflicts before handling a manuscript.

2.3 Funding Disclosure

Authors must clearly identify the financial support received for conducting the research and preparing the manuscript, specifying the role of the funder(s) in study design, data collection, analysis, and the decision to publish.

A funding statement must appear immediately before the References section:

            This work was supported by the [Name of Funding Agency] under grant number [XXXXXX].

If no external funding was received, the following statement must be used:

            This research received no specific grant from any funding agency in the public, commercial, or not-for-profit sectors.

3. Research Ethics

3.1 Research Involving Animals

Studies involving animals must comply with institutional, national, or international animal-care guidelines.
An ethics committee must approve all procedures before the study begins.

Authors must include an Ethical Considerations statement after the Conclusions section, for example:

Animal care and handling procedures followed the guidelines of the Institutional Ethics Committee on the Use of Animals in Experiments (include committee name and approval number).

3.2 Research Involving Human Participants

Research involving human subjects must comply with the principles of the and obtain prior approval from an Institutional Review Board (IRB) or an equivalent ethics committee.
Authors must state the approval information in the manuscript.

Written informed consent is mandatory for all participants. The consent form must explain the study’s aims, procedures, potential risks, and participants’ rights to withdraw.

Authors must include a declaration such as:

This study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. Ethical approval was obtained from [name of institution], approval number [XXXX]. Written informed consent was obtained from all participants.

When publishing identifiable images or data, authors must confirm:

I confirm that all necessary consent has been obtained from participants or legal guardians to publish personal details or images.

3.3 Research Involving Vulnerable Populations

Multidisciplinary Reviews recognizes that additional ethical care is required when research involves vulnerable populations, such as:

  • Children and adolescents

  • Pregnant women

  • Individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairment

  • Elderly persons under institutional care

  • Prisoners or detained individuals

  • Economically or socially disadvantaged groups

Authors must demonstrate:

  1. Approval by an institutional ethics committee specifically addressing vulnerable populations.

  2. Informed consent from legal guardians when participants cannot consent for themselves.

  3. Risk minimization — studies must not expose participants to unnecessary or disproportionate risks.

  4. Protection of confidentiality and dignity, following UNESCO and the Declaration of Helsinki standards.

Manuscripts involving such groups must include a paragraph in the Ethical Considerations section describing these safeguards.

3.4 Clinical Trials

All clinical trials must be registered in a publicly accessible database approved by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
Authors must provide the registration number in the manuscript.

Failure to meet ethical or registration requirements may result in rejection.

4. Authorship and Contributions

Journal Management & Economics Review : JUMPER follows the ICMJE criteria for authorship. To qualify as an author, each contributor must meet all four criteria:

  1. Substantial contribution to study conception, design, data acquisition, analysis, or interpretation.

  2. Manuscript drafting or critical revision for intellectual content.

  3. Final approval of the version to be published.

  4. Accountability for all aspects of the work and its integrity.

Individuals who contribute but do not meet these criteria should be acknowledged in the Acknowledgments section.

4.1 Changes to Authorship

Authors are expected to provide the final author list and order at the time of initial submission.
Any subsequent request to add, remove, or rearrange authors requires written approval from all authors, including those being added or removed, and must be submitted by the corresponding author by starting a discussion on our online platform titled Request for Change in Authorship.

> Before acceptance, changes will be reviewed by the editor and may temporarily suspend processing of the article. There will be no costs at this stage.

Note: However, if any change in authorship is made silently, without prior notification to and approval by the Editor or the Editorial Office, and is identified only after the article has been accepted, an additional fee equivalent to 20% of the total APC will be charged. This measure is intended to preserve transparency, authorship integrity, and the journal's ethical standards, and will be applied regardless of the stage at which the undisclosed change is detected.

> After acceptance, changes are permitted only under exceptional circumstances. If approved before online publication, a fee equivalent to 20% of the current APC will be charged for authorship corrections.

> If the article is already published online, an Erratum will be issued, requiring full APC payment (since it constitutes a new publication record).

5. Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools

The Journal Management & Economics Review : JUMPER recognizes that Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools can assist in research and writing. However, authors are responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and originality of all content submitted.

Authors must select one of the following statements:

“The authors declare that no generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools were used in the preparation, analysis, or writing of this manuscript.”

“The authors declare that the generative artificial intelligence (AI) tool [name of the tool] was used exclusively for language editing and/or grammatical improvement. The use of AI did not influence the scientific content, study design, data analysis, data interpretation, results, or conclusions of the manuscript. Full responsibility for the content remains with the authors.”

If the use of artificial intelligence in this manuscript does not fit either of the statements above, the authors must clearly and transparently describe, in their own words, which AI tools were used, for what specific purpose, and at which stage of the manuscript preparation.

Note: The use of AI tools does not replace the responsibility of the authors for the originality, accuracy, integrity, and validity of the manuscript. Artificial intelligence tools must not be listed as authors, as they do not meet authorship criteria and cannot take responsibility for the work.

The editorial team reserves the right to use AI-assisted systems to detect plagiarism, image manipulation, or data irregularities. All content will be evaluated in accordance with COPE and ICMJE ethical standards.
